K-Os: B-Boy Stance

This guy is easily one of the dopest rappers in  Canada, if not North America, so why the hell does no one know him outside of Toronto?  If you like rappers like Mos Def or Talib Kweli, this guy is on their level and beyond.

"What are you doing, Paxgitmo?"
"Oh nothing, just wondering if anybody else on buzz has seen this yet. Why?"
"Mouthy's online let's go see what he's doing up late".
Poetry isn't for who makes it, it belongs to those who need it.
hey I know K-os!! but I am originally from Toronto ... does that count?

I did 'em."

Bonus points to you shapeshifter for knowing K-Os, I just wish people beyond Toronto knew about his work. Canadian indie rock is blowing up right now in the US, but Canadian hip hop is still pretty unknown here.

And Pax, I'm just wearing off a caffeine buzz from some ill-advised coffee earlier tonight.

That's him doing the remix on the link I gave you.

Knittie, I'm so outta the loop here -- radio in SF is only playing Alanis and Avril and other ex-Canadian pop stars, for some reason. Radio here pretty much bites, to be honest.

for some reason i always pictured music down in the states to travel faster than i could ever keep up with. i haven't gotten in to k-os yet but i do refer to your mouthy hat as the k-os hat (too). :) i just saw most serene republic last week in brampton, also on the arts & crafts label, and def worth checking out. baby, i'm amazed.
mouthy: 02/21/2006 1:38 PM
Oooh, a new act on arts & crafts for me to slobber all over. Thanks!
